CDOC ACTION received a huge boost to morale and cash on hand when the Ventura County Dog Fanciers Association sent checks totalling $11,800 to CDOC Action to help fund the court challenge to Los Angeles Ordinance 179615 - Mandatory Spay and Neuter.

Checks from individual members and matching funds from the Club all made up this incredibly generous donation. With this donation we are more than halfway to our initial goal.

In Los Angeles the politicians have assumed that only the animal rights activists have the money to fund political campaigns, the ability to get out the vote and the will to fight laws that are bad for the health of dogs. Support such as this helps us send another message, locally, across the state and throughout the country.

We hope groups and individuals across the country will continue to support us. We know that cities and counties everywhere are watching closely to see what happens in California.

The support from Ventura, following closely on the heels of the visits and donations from Westminster Kennel Club and Uno's owners should be an inspiration to all of us.
